GFL journal was founded in 1999 as an open access, double-blind peer reviewed online journal for articles pertaining to any aspect of teaching and learning German as a Foreign Language in Higher Education. GFL publishes articles in German as well as English three times a year and has a fully international outlook, welcoming contributions from colleagues working in German Studies/German as a Foreign Language around the world.
